I picked this up on Steam, and while the core RPG style is great, the combat is just horrible. You have to hit a guy with a sword 50 times to get the kill and he has to hit you three times. They need to fix the damage or don't bother picking it up.

Maybe you should get better gear? Or stop attacking mobs that are 20 levels higher than you.

Or just play the game on easy lol.

man.

can you walk into a zoo and kill all lions and tigers when you're just 5 years old ? NO ! you have to grow and grow and get muscles and then you come back and kill 'em kitties.

hope this answers your issue.

How can 720p be considered HD when it looks like ugly snow grains on my 22'' screen?

I think one of the reasons why the console version does poorly is that it looks like shit. The fact that this kind of game are generally rather annoying (controls mostly) to play on consoles doesn't help it one bit either...

Ummm...it's the beginning of the game with a guy you have to fight, I won't list spoilers but it's pretty obvious the battle damage is broken, I'm not a fan of hack and slash but this is just plain silly.

Well, the game is obviously downgraded and chopped in its 360 version, but it plays decently and it has identical content.
I'm a hardcore gamer that loved old school hc RPG's and I just haven't got the PC to run the PC version of the game. I have the 360 version and till now, the game is great.

Let me ask you all a question. If the original Gothic 1 or 2, had a perfect port on PS2 or XBOX how many copies would they sell? I assume, not many. It s the nature of the games.

why is everyone calling it a hardcore RPG? its a WRPG... a niche genre which the highest sellers are on PC and include amazing RPGs like The Witcher.

WRPGs are a niche genre?  News to me...

Well, the more traditional ones are. A lot of the newer WRPGs lack a lot of the traditional elements and are streamlined for consoles. Take Oblivion and compare it to Morrowind for example. Or even just Mass Effect to KoToR. Or compare them to some of the older RPGs like Neverwinter Nights and Baldurs Gate. They're evolutions of the genre, so a traditional/hardcore style WRPG could be considered niche as most target the mainstream audience.

Just found out that ign give this game a 8.6 :O (well for the PC version :P)
