Great, but i hope it's not TOO hard, i was playing SMB3 on VC and i kept dying, i actually wished the game had super guide!! LOL

but i agree, making it too hard would be bad, playing most of the game in super guide wouldn't be very enjoyable.

I predict the difficulty to ramp up moderately as you progress through the game with the later stages being as hard as this article says. good thing IMO ;)

Only 2 levels were hard in SMB3

And a total of zero levels were fun.

Dumbest thing I've ever read.

Coincidentally, this the dumbest thing I've ever read.

1.  Super Mario Bros 3 was an epic masterpiece.

2.  If you're just going to troll these threads with your ridiculous comments, can't you at least change your avatar?  The last thing I want is to be watching a Futurama episode and think of anti-Nintendo fanboys.

The funny thing is that I only own a Wii and I love Mario with all my heart. I plan on getting over a dozen Nintendo games for Christmas and most of being release on the NES, SNES, and N64. I am sorry to hear that you don't appreciate the fact that someone can like Nintendo and not like a game they make. Nintendo is of course the greatest company ever made and anyone who doesn't like every game they make is a crazy, rambling fanboy.

It's pretty crazy that you like Mario but don't like SMB3 - Of course, you are entitled to your opinion and I'm not berating you, but I never thought such a thing was possible. But, of course, different strokes for different folks.

So it will be the hardest core game released this gen so far?

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

i may never beat this then lol. the first nsmb did have some hard levels near the end. maybe thats just me sucking at mario, but whatever.

talking about mario galaxy's difficulty, i think if they removed a lot of the easy to find 1-ups, then people would think of the game as being much harder. i actually died a few hundred times in the process of getting the 120 stars. i may have died a dozen times on one level, but there was so many 1-ups everywhere, it didn't really matter, and it made the game seem easy since you could rearely get a gameover. did that many people beat the game with out getting a few hundred deaths in the process?

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1

you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312

yes, this is vonboy's alt account. i can't log into my original account, and i'm not sure if i will ever be able to.

I know I didn't. :p Lol I died tons of times too, and I agree, it was never that much of a problem due to the plethora of 1-up mushrooms strewn about every level. If they decreased that amount by a lot, it'd definitely be a much harder game, especially since your energy meter consists of only three parts.

^^ totally agree, NSMB DS had a pretty good difficulty level, not too easy, not too hard.

but making a game a ltittle harder never hurt anybody :)

Now people are complaining if it's too hard they will be using the guide all the time?

Well first of all, remember you don't get access to the guide in a level until you die 8 times (I think that's correct) and second of all, you then have to follow the guide anyway (as cutting back in puts you as Luigi so I guess means it doesn't count as a completed level)

I thought NSMB DS was the easiest mario platformer I had ever played...

but it wasn't too easy right? i think it may be more the fact that you've had more experience playing mario when you played NSMB than when you played a mario platformer for the first time...

or maybe i just suck at playing mario more than i thought... thanks a lot, lol
