Yes, Atlus Is Developing PS3 And Xbox 360 Games

By Spencer . October 6, 2009 . 7:23pm

While Atlus USA published Spectral Force 3 and Operation Darkness, their internal studio in Japan hasn’t dabbled in HD development… yet.

They are doing it (or starting to) since Atlus is searching for a programmer to work on a PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360 game. Qualified applicants should be interested in game development and worked on a previous PS3 / Xbox 360 RPG.

Maybe there are some truth to those Persona 5 for PS3 rumblings after all…

_______________

Great aticipation for the new instalment for the Persona- series, just hoping they would make it more like Persona2, that game is ossum.

Or maybe make spiritual sequel to Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne?

and whatever this game will be it will release before Final Fantasy XIII

Blasphemy, Atlus should take their time creating their first HD JRPG, be it the new SMT or Persona.

Well no offense, but Atlus and their partnering companies are not exactly known for taking theirtime at making games.  I mean, how many Persona/Digital Devil Saga games have been made in the last 5-6 years?

But its not like its a bad thing.  Sometimes a development group can produce a superior game in 1-2 years than another can in 5.  I'm starting to think there's more examples of this going on in this generation than ever before.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

development time has nothing to do with the quality of the game. Uncharted 2 is a perfect example of this. 1 year for the generations current best game.

HD persona would be great. Their ps2 and psp series have done pretty well so far

I just love the way people have no problems directly copy-pasting entire articles from other websites. It's essentially theft (no, it doesn't make it all better if you provide a link - you took the whole article) and VGChartz is the only website I've encountered before where this kind of behavior is tolerated. In fact, it's so common it makes me think that it's encouraged.

id love to see persona 5 on PS3. Persona 4 was one of the best RPG i have played in a LONG time and i hope the trend continues. Go Atlus!!!

I think they are going to put Persona 5 on PSP. There really isn't any value in the HD consoles for a game like that. By that I mean one that won't ever depend on graphics or high production values.
