I don't expect the pricedrop to have a huge effect. I think it would have been better if Nintendo just made the WSR bundle the standard sku instead, at the same price.

Guys this means Wii went from selling ~1.8k per week (based on last week) over four days to selling 8k over the last few days.

Once the Wii and PSP price cuts are in effect for a full week they'll join DS over the PS3, and we'll be back to where we've been for most of the generation.

Damn all those hours that went into torturing you have been RUINED!

So its sold 8K EACH DAY....surely a price drop means you sell the most in the initial few days......or is the wii an exception to this rule?

Wow provided those numbers are true, this I did not expect.

In the other thread where I predicted the wii will easily gain 10million before the ps3 5 million in japan, due to the wii pricecut. There is now a chance now that the ps3 will gain the mark first.
This must be very disappointing numbers for Nintendo, I wonder if it'll be similar figures worldwide.

^^Japan release date is still TBA, which means we have no idea if it will come out in 2009 or 2010 in Japan. However, FFXIII is confirmed for this year in December.

Word ! THE WHITE BUNDLE will be another PS3 Launch in Japan.   The last 2 weeks of December will be EPIC, INSANE !
