While I don't like them myself, I'm kind of glad to see another continuing horror franchise.

Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th. These series ranged from great to worse than Saw, but I don't begrudge their existence.

What I really wish for is that amazingly awesome horror movies like Drag Me To Hell and Slither were more successful.

I *loved* Drag Me To Hell and up until a minute or two before the big reveal at the ending, it actually caught me by surprise.  I was sitting there trying to figure out why a movie like that would end all nice and happy and right as I catch on they start revealing the twist.

Drag Me to Hell might be the most disappointing movie that I've ever seen.

It was supposed to be Reimi's big return to the horror genre, and to my dismay, what I ended up seeing was a predictable, generic and wildly overproduced piece of crap. Reimi is known for his over the top humour, yet I could count the amount of times the movie showcased this on one hand. The ending was predictable, and I would be flabbergasted if anybody told me that they were honestly surprised. It felt too much like a Hollywood horror film, and not enough like the movies that made Reimi such a cult icon.

Around the Network

SAW I= OMG Awesome I didn't see that coming

SAW II= someone spoiled the ending for me but if they hadn't it would have been amazing.

SAW III= A long bore

SAW IV= Nice reveal that actually made SAW III a lot better

SAW V= Made out through the whole thing I have no idea what happened.

SAW VI= Eh?

Are you sure you just weren't expecting too much or one of those cases where you're just trying to find everything wrong or silly and every twist you can?  Like Evil Dead, it really is better if you go to movies like that and just turn your mind off and have fun.  If you go in trying to guess the ending and looking for all the cheese of course you aren't going to like it.

That really is one of those movies you just go and turn your brain off and have fun.  It isn't retarded like Scary Movie XII, it's just fun.

Also, and I know this is like the third time this week I've posted one of his reviews, but again, MovieBob sums things up nicely.
