Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th. These series ranged from great to worse than Saw, but I don't begrudge their existence.

What I really wish for is that amazingly awesome horror movies like Drag Me To Hell and Slither were more successful.

I *loved* Drag Me To Hell and up until a minute or two before the big reveal at the ending, it actually caught me by surprise.  I was sitting there trying to figure out why a movie like that would end all nice and happy and right as I catch on they start revealing the twist.

Drag Me to Hell might be the most disappointing movie that I've ever seen.

It was supposed to be Reimi's big return to the horror genre, and to my dismay, what I ended up seeing was a predictable, generic and wildly overproduced piece of crap. Reimi is known for his over the top humour, yet I could count the amount of times the movie showcased this on one hand. The ending was predictable, and I would be flabbergasted if anybody told me that they were honestly surprised. It felt too much like a Hollywood horror film, and not enough like the movies that made Reimi such a cult icon.
