from wat I heard ppl who do this are trying to take part in a really cool thats destined to locked just to say they were there..my old site enforced the crap out of this

I am going to assume that it is interpreted as spam used solely to raise one's post count, and to add activity to a topic that by all rights should not have any activity at all.

I could swear you were around when "In before the lock" became a big thing, basically VGC of yesteryear people would spam in before the lock to a troll thread to mock the OP and raise post count, it's not a big deal until it gets out of hand like it did and became an official rule.

Honestly we haven't had a rule update in a while it would be nice to have some revisions if you ask me and a lot of clarifying on some rules.

Well yes, also it would be nice if certain mods actually read the posts they were banning people for, but we aren't going to see that any time soon are we?
Anyway, I think it is partially because when somebody said "in before the lock" they are trolling the OP, I have seen several threads where people have done this in the hopes that the thread would be locked...and then it never was. Point being, it's unnecessary, and rude to do that, even in a troll thread.

I was here with CKMLB, the cat lady who took a pic of her naked and posted it and the days of AoA talking about getting blown while playing video games. I have done it a few times - but usually add an OT comment, not just typing it.

I try to read the rules here and make sure I'm being a good citizen and all.
