Forums - Sony - I NEED HELP with my PS3!!!

All of my saved data is gone, when I try to save on any game it comes up error has occurred, and everytime a started my PS3, it says the hard disk data is corrupted and it restores it but it makes no difference. Also don't know if this related but now it loading times are far longer than before. All of this started to happen after my PS3 froze on the Uncharted 2 beta.

I probably sound stupid but any help or advice is helpful.

this is a really really weird issue, i think its a malfunction of the HDD..

Sorry but it sounds like your HDD bit the dust

You'll just have to start from square 1. At least you'll still have all of your trophies.

Your harddrive is dead. Need to buy and install a new one.

4 ≈ One

If you live in the states go to Tigerdirect.com/CompUSA.com and get yourself a huge HD with a small price..

Cheapest around..

ugh HDD deaths.

that's probably why ur uncharted 2 demo froze.

you are lucky u can find 80gb for 20$.

My HDD died, a long time ago, too.

Fortunately, I had an unused 80 gigger sitting in a drawer (I'm now up to 500 )

Try fulling formatting everything maually, but that probably wont do anything. You will need a new HDD. Go to Wal-Mart and get a 160 for like $79.
