Can anyone explain how improving upon the original sets new standards for action RPGs in general? Maybe there's been a reveal that I missed. From the description, and outside of save file importing from ME1, all I see are incremental improvements -- the sort you expect to see in a sequel.

me2 wasnt announced as 360 exclusive, platforms were undecided, only much later it was said 2 b on 360.

i believe microsoft gained timed exclusive, it shouldn't be any suprise if gets released on ps3 at a later date.

ME2 will probably be GOTY!

Although I'm very excited for this game... they better fix all the problems that dragged the first one down.

I hope it does a much better job then the first one. Don't get me wrong, I loved the first one for it's story, but as a game it really suffered. This sequal does look much better and is one of my most wanted games as of now though. I just hated how many of your decisions reached the same conclusion and sometimes no matter what option you picked you would say the same thing. The worlds were not very populated at all, even the citadel which was supposed to house billions. There were many graphical and gameplay glitches, and it just seemed rushed overall. Side missions were copy and paste empty barren worlds which were uninteresting and plain old no fun. Still, the story was great, the facial animations were amazing (for the most part, sometimes they were quite off though) and the universe and aliens in it were imaginative and just awesome. This sequal looks amazing but I don't think it's going to redefine anything (they said that about the first!) I just think it's going to improve on everything from the first and be a really, really good game. Hopefully amazing.

Mass Effect 2 is shaping up so nicely, i really need to finish ME1 again to have the perfect file to carry over.
