I prefere the art style of super mario bros 3. I'm not much for these graphics.. Anyways it looks fun and frankly.. I'll likely get it at some point. (probably not when it releases though, i'll likely wait for it to drop a bit in price.)

Sorry but waiting for a price drop for a first party flagship nintendo is the same as waiting to see a tax free world.

On topic this game going to sell like hot cakes if you don't like the art style don't play no one is forcing you.

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

I guess its one of those games that you'll grow into it, it just seems that its a game u wouldnt wanna sit down watching other people play

Which is of course why there are 4-players.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

OH MY GOD!

This game is going to be SO MUCH FUN!

I see spending HOURS with friends on this!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

The could do two things: creating a new type of Mario games OR improving one of the best platformers of all time (NSMB). They chose the second. The art is greatly improved ( you're blind if you can't see it), now it's a real 2.5 d (the originale NSMB was too similar with 2d), the graphic is colorful and usedful (okay, it doesn't require so much hardware, but it's not a wrong point).

They added the multiplayer, the new Demo-play-mode (which is one of the best new features, now they have the possibility to create difficult games and everyone will be able to enjoy them), a lot of new levels and the SMW's bosses (Koopalings).

If you don't like this game, don't buy or play it, but it's impossible to criticize it because of graphic or gamplay (saying that it's a DS port is incredibly stupid).

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

My main gripe is the art direction with the chars. They should make it in this style:

meaning something like this:

I just think it fits more than the psudo 3d (or full 3d) char models they've got going.

I think it looks great. Much better than the E3 presentation made me believe. I'll be getting this.

Staude, how many players does Wario Land have?

This game looks awesome and unbelievably fun.

Sweet. This will be the wii game I buy this holiday season. My wife is actually interested in playing it with me, which could be great....or terrible. Either way, I love a good 2d mario game.

I am vastly disappointed if that is the musical score though. I thought the music was the weakest part of NSMB on DS, and if they are just re-using the score that just emphasizes how this is just a lazy cheap product on Nintendo's part to make a buck cashing in on people's mario love and nostalgia...which will work seeing as how I plan on buying it.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I don't know. I don't care.

Wario is not Mario. That is all you need to know.

Oh and that I find their chosen art direction bad does not make me wrong. It just makes me have an opinion that might differ from yours. I don't like their psudo 3d combined with their 2d world. I think the chars look ugly and out of place, while making completely 2d chars like the old mario games would suit the game better.. and look better overall aswell. That is just my opinion. Noone is forcing you to share it. I however, am forced to look at that design if I wanna play the game.

I am not knocking the game, i'm simply stating my opinion that i'm in no way imposing on any of you who might disagree. I didn't like the look on the ds either (my sister has one and i tried it out a while back.)
