The security on the PS3 is supposed to be extroadinary and after 3 years of being on the market we havent even had a sniff of pirated PS3 games. Some time ago Sony even issued a challenge to the hackers to try and crack the PS3, yet we're still waiting. |
I'm willing to stand corrected on this since this is based on what I have heard. It is well known that nothing is 100% secure; at leasts thats the consences. The PS3 used to be open to homebrew through allowing Linux installation. However that has apparently changed. Future PS3/Slim don't allow for another OS. This means that the homebrew community will gather there collective work to crack the PS3. Be assured now that this has happened we will see pirating on the PS3. It's a shame too I thought Sony had learned something from their efforts by working with the homebrew they avoided piracy.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
