If you get HD cables for a SDTV, will the quality change?

If your TV supports Component it will make a difference ... If your TV supports 480p it will (probably) be quite noticeable

480p makes a difference in some games...you will notice it in games with open detailed (well as detailed as the wii can get) environments like RE4, MP3 and I can only imaging SMG will have.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

From what i read on some forums the type of TV also makes a big improvement, if you get a HDTV from wal-mart it won't look as good as a Samsung/Sony one. But then again its costs $1000 more so its all up to you.

I got my component cables for the Wii when it first came out. I am playing in on my LCD TV in 480p. I had to take it downstairs on my regular TV and it doesn't look as good. I have to say that setting your Wii at the higher Resolution and using the cables on a Hidef TV is really the way to go.

In my 32" LCD HDTV it looks way sharper, but a bit pixelated as well. Definitely worth the cost though.

Looked sharper and cleaner on mine when I got component.

To some people it may look 'worse' because the pixels look more distinct. Most Wii games don't have anti-aliasing.

I have a 720p sony tv, and my wii and ps3 both look nice. I used to have an hd tv the one that got most of the image upgrade was my ps3, the ps store looks SOO much better now.

 2008 end of year predictions:

PS3: 22M

360: 25M

wii: 40M
