I think it depends on the TV because on my 42" 1080p Westinghouse, the improvement was negligible. So, I hooked it up to my SD tv, which sadly is the best set-up.

Google for similar comparisions and decide for yourself.

Some will say it looks a lot better.
Some may go as far as arguing that graphics are so much sharper, that they end up looking worse.
Most would probably say it doesn't really make that much of a difference.

Reality has a Nintendo bias.

my HD tv actually looked worse due to a poor upscaling (looked pixilated). However, my parents Sony looks much better.

Also, so long as the shielding is good it doesn't matter what you buy for cables. I bought a set for $5 and they work like a charm. Don't be fooled into thinking 1 set of cables is actually any better than another. (the only exception is comparing trash that flat out doesn't work to any cable that actually works)

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Oh, also, the only time its worth investing in cables is if your going to travel over really long distances, but i doubt your hooking up the wii from more than 10 ft.

I also have a 42" LCD and it looked better. I ma not going to argue that it is surpreme or anything but considering how good movies looked when I bought a progressive scan player and component cables compared to 480i component it was an easy decision.

And what are you going to pay? $15? It was worth it to me so I could leave that cable hooked into my AV setup and take the composite cable for when I move the Wii.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

*naznatips is exempt

IF I had an HD tv I would definitely go component cables @ 480p. From what I have seen at a few friends houses most games do look better.

So a non-shielded cable is not as good as a shielded? Cause my Wii STILL looks like crap on my HDTV :/

Yep, shielded is better in any type of cables. Be them for computer, DVD, Wii, whatever. Go gold shields.

I have component cables and it looks much sharper imo. It helps if you have a HDTV. Just go to the internet page with composite cables and try and read stuff. It's really blurry. Then hook it up with component cables and it becomes much clearer. Remember to change it to 480p though in your Wii settings. I can't wait to play Galaxy in 480p.
