Forums - Gaming - Nokia N900 is more powerful than the PS2 comfirmed?

1) No, it isn't. That looked impressive, but it also clearly isn't very long, being a phone game. And God of War II looks better.

2) Even if it did look better, so what? The PS2 is 9 years old, it's about time a handheld outpaced it in technology.

Call me when the N900 has some games in the same league as R&C, SoTC and GoW, and maybe we'll talk.

my next phone!

u can play doom 3 in a n95 thats a 2006 phone.

Not really. If you throw a PS2 and N900 at each other at the same time; PS2 would win.

The Nokia N95 was more powerful than a PS2 as well. The iPhone 3Gs is better than the N900 (how did they go from N97 to N900 anyway? Nokia, like LG, loves numbers in the thousands; I thought the N-series was because they realized it was ridiculous.

erm both n900 and iphone 3gs  have the same CPU and gpu. 600mhz and newst powerVR  chip

whats difference it's the chipset, n900 ti omap 3+. with ARM Cortex 8

n900 have better software, multitasking (4 dekstops)  , can pull swap memory up to 1gb , from 256mb ram it have.

and 32gb for memory.

I didn't say anything about processors. The 3Gs is a better device: it's about half the price, has a superior interface, better availability of software, the same games will run at a faster framerate. It's also available worldwide and will likely end up the top selling phone this year and next year until the 4th gen is released.

Nokia's days have been over for a while now. No one considers them to be the hottest company anymore, not since the days of the N95 and N93.

hmm, could Nokia be working on a new N-Gage with this tech?
