Demon's Souls has nearly 70,000 preorders, and if that number is accurate, first week sales should be somewhere not too far from that of Lost Odyssey (which is amazing).

And that is only considering Amazon.  I am sure that Gamestop might have another 50,000.

Oh how I wish.  =(

Sony should've published Demon's Souls. Pawning it off to Atlus basically guarantees sub-300k lifetime sales in NA.  Of course, it may be Atlus' best selling game years, topping even Persona 4.
