Uncharted 2 IMO

Hi guys

So finally I get the chance to play Uncharted 2, I have a pre-order for it because I liked the first one but it's nice to test it.

I was expecting something overwhelming because of all the hype, I was expecting the game of the decade, the graphics of a life time, something absolutely crushing.

I started the demo and.... And I was not impressed at all. So this is it? Is this the game of the decade? Ok the graphics are ok, but Batman graphics are ok, FORZA graphics are ok, MGS4 graphics are ok, RE5 graphics are ok, Gears 2 graphics are ok, KILLZONE 2 graphics are ok (I have all this games). They are great, they are ok, but they aren't the best graphics ever or a landmark or anything.

I started to move and the character moves a little bite awkward, just like in Uncharted 1, again, is this it? Is this the game of the decade? Give me a break....

I played, I played and I played. And guess what? I started to LOVE the game, not because of all the hype, but because of the gameplay and everything the game offers. Not only the graphics but everything. The characters, the action, the options, the servers, etc.

The more I played, the more I loved the game, I went to bed and today at work I was thinking about the great time playing the game. I want to get back, and when this happens that's because it's a good game.

Anyways, my point is that it's not "a killer" "the game of the decade" or a "system seller", but it's a great game and if you like 3rd person shooters and have a PS3 you SHOULD BUY IT IMMEDIATELY.

Finally I want to say that sometimes hype ruins games, I was excepting so much that I almost didn't like this AWESOME game.

I think I'm gonna have so much fun with it.

It is not the best game of all time, it is however, an amazing game. And we should just leave it at that.

You can't expect online graphics to be good. And the game looks pretty amazing for an online game. Almost as good as KZ2, which had twice the development time. And, of course, the single player looks BETTER.

Anyway, glad you're enjoying it. It's awesome despite just being a demo with 4 maps. Imagine what the full game would be like...

It's the not too smart guys that give it 21/20 and expect it to be the "FFVII for the PS3" that ruin it for most people.

For example now MS is starting to over-hype HALO Reach.

Pah in my opinion you have got bad taste in graphical style. The is nothing that looks this good and i mean nothing. No game that is released at this time looks this good.

The must be somthing wrong with your tv ;)

Also, I wasn't disappointed at all. I expected no more and no less than a fantastic game, and that, from what I've seen, is what we've got here.

I disagree. I loved it from the moment I started playing. Then again, Drake's buns helped.

I don't think the game is overhyped at all. I think people jumping on the hype bandwagon just for the sake of it may be dissapointed with what they end up recieving though. The key here, is KNOWING what you'll end up with - read the full IGN review if you are unsure of what exactly the game encapsulates.

Also, part of the 'hype' this game is recieving is due to the fact that Uncharted was a MUCH loved game by many, and is probably a fan favourite game despite not being the highest rated game. So expectedly people are jumping for joy when they can see so much has improved since the last game.

Anyway, I respectfully disagree with the OP. The graphics are phenomenal. Nothing on the ps3 matches its artistic and technical beauty. Even mentioning batman aa in the same breadth as uncharted 2 is laughable.
