I upgraded my HDD recently (320GB 7200rpm) and decided to play LBP.

After installing about 10 LBP updates the game started and when I tried to move Sackboy with the left stick he keeps waving his right arm about.

I restarted the system and started the game again but the same thing happens. I cannot get the little bastard to walk. He just stands there waving his right hand. All the button jabbing doesn't help. No matter what stick I use he doesn't walk. He can jump but no walking.

Is my controller broken or what? It seems to work well with other games but I must admit that it has had a few knocks as I lost my "cool" in the heat of most games.

Suggestions please.

I think maybe your L2 and R2 triggers are jammed. To wave Sackboy's left arm you hold L2 and move the left analogstick, and same with right arm using R2 and right analogstick.

Try firmly pressing/releasing the L2 and R2 buttons. You could even pop the controller apart and take a look, but I don't know if it'll do any good.

try another game and see if that game is messed up too. i assume u only have 1 controller, but if not try another, or a friends

^^enough with the jokes already. Lol.

The controller works well (or so it seems) with COD:WAW, Killzone2, Fallout etc., and games that uses L2.

I will try to borrow a workmate's. If it is the controller then I'll buy a new one, the next controller I was hoping to buy was the wand but sh*t happens.

I also tried reassigning it but no love.
