really kowen, he has 37 posts and his name is very off-putting, why bother when you most likely know all you'll get is a fanboy-like response. what he said is his opinion, even though its quite faaar from the truth, NATAL will be great and you know it.

The developers are probably excited about the tech because it has a lot of promise... not because of money-hatting, although I'm not sure how much it will help the 360 in Japan... time will tell.

A lot of people don't really seem to understand what a tech like Natal is capable of, or how non-hardcore gamers might glom onto it. This reminds me of when the Wii was getting ready to launch... a lot of people didn't think anyone would go for a "gimmicky" controller like the WiiMote. Guess a lot of people were wrong.

Project Natal is way more advanced than Nintendo's and Sony's motion controllers and next year the world will see the difference between the technologies, at least microsoft didn't copy nintendo like sony did.

I'm not sure if I commented here a while back, but anyways:

I do think money-hatting was involved to some extent (I'm not saying it's a bad thing, business is business), but still, we can only wait and see what games they can develop. I don't think Natal will have the huge impact you're expecting on Xbox 360 sales, but it should sell well amongst current Xbox 360 owners.
