I've noticed quite a trend recently and that is the ps3 is turning into a voracious software beast, its seems the LION has been awakened. With the recent introduction of the Ps3 slim, software sales have seen a huge spike. Its seems consumers have finally come to terms with the quality of the ps3 library. With the ps3 trailing the X360 by 8m and the Nintendo Wii by 25m+, the ps3 is indeed a voracious animal sneaking up on it's prey despite being outnumbered it manages to come out on top.
The weekly ps3 software sales are indeed very impressive, the X360 and ps3 software sales are always close. The ps3 has shown in recent weeks that it can indeed outsell the X360 despite the smaller userbase, for example Batman arkham Asylum selling more in both America and Europe, Need for speed shift peforming better on the ps3. Indeed the resurgence in the playstation brand has a part to play in this, one thing is for sure the ps3 is a voracious software beast that will not stay down.
