Forums - Nintendo - IGN Review Mercury Meltdown Revolution:Someone actually gets how Wii works!

I have Kororinpa and I love it. I bought it at the used price of $26.50 (including shipping) but it was unopened.

A little comparison-
Kororinpa: easier, cuter, shorter (I think it will take me around 6 hours to get 100% but I am not a hardcore gamer), better graphics, a ton of different marbles, 65 levels with mirror stages for a total of 130, it has some of the best controls on any system (ever)
Mercury Meltdown: much harder, non-cute, longer because it is harder, only the mercury looks good, the mercury changes, over 150 levels, a better multiplayer game, lower price

I decided to buy Kororinpa because it appears to appeal much more to casual gamers that I might have over and it is hard enough for me. In fact, if you find it too easy switch to one of the harder to control marbles and you will not be able to finish many of the levels. I will rent Mercury Meltdown but if you are hardcore or cannot find a used copy of Kororinpa, I suggest buying Mercury Meltdown and renting Kororinpa for a Wii party.

Awesome. Thanks. I'm definitely getting this game. I have a sister who hasn't played games since they went 3-D, but now whenever she comes over she wants to play Wii Sports Golf or "the marble game."

Cool. Another game to add to my Christmas list!

Speaking of cheap, I just bought used Red Steel for $10 off GameFly...you get a discount for being a member for a certain amount of time, plus you get GameFly Dollars every couple months...so I decided to get a decent game on the cheap, especially since I never actually played through the single player mode.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

i love this game.
i've completed 100% of it but it took many hours and plenty of patience.

definitely worth my $40 Australian

it was cool.........good time larry wanted to be crucified

Not paying 68$ for it sorry.

I have managed to snag it for under €19 shipped, at blahdvd.com. Still, this is one of the "game deals of the week", not an RRP. This is my "trial purchase" at the store, so I can't really recommend it myself, but I've heard good things from them before. Let's see how things go... so far, so good.

my wife loved marble madness--so mabye this one will fit that need for her

So the game was shipped on Friday and arrived today - all is well. The price is up again to around €25, which is still quite competitive anyway. Also, it's still one of the "game deals of the week", so I don't know if the €15 price was a glitch or something. All I can say is, if it was indeed a glitch, they sold it all the same for the announced price, which is good customer service in my book. I can't recommend them more from this experience - will be checking their prices before future game purchases.
