Forums - Nintendo - IGN Review Mercury Meltdown Revolution:Someone actually gets how Wii works!

Has anybody played both this and Kororinpa? How do they compare?

What it is, however, is a solid game design that bests titles like Kororinpa or Dewy’s Adventure.

When I got to the us in 2 weeks i'll pick it up. The 30 bucks here wouldn't really be worth it.

lol, so you in the USA get it later but at less than 1/3rd the price.

I was just at the local GameCrazy (not GameStop) where I was shocked to see that Mercury Meltdown for the PSP still cost $40.

Let me repeat that:  The PSP game released over a year ago is twice as expensive as the Wii port released a week ago.

THE PSP GAME RELEASED OVER A YEAR AGO IS TWICE AS EXPENSIVE AS THE WII PORT RELEASED A WEEK AGO.

I havn't played Kororinpa, reviews generally said it was fun, but short!  Only 2 hours long.  And full price!

I already have Kororinpa and love the hell out of it. It was ONLY $40, but that wasn't much of a budget price. It's nice to know that Mercury Meltdown Revolution will cost half as much as Kororinpa and is said to be even better. I love labyrinth games.

Unfortunately the concept of budget game and/or competitive price doesn't seem to exist in Europe, particularly for third-party games.

Mercury Meltdown Revolution is being sold at full price in Europe for €50. And don't even start justifying this with VAT or whatever: we're talking more than $70 here. Same crap for Resident Evil, unconvincing or inexistent discounts.

Nintendo games seem to be the only ones that get prices in line with american ones (I say "in line", because despite the dollar being particularly weak right now, we've grown to expect euro-dollar parity, no more).

Reality has a Nintendo bias.
