I think those in the brackets above are sub-ranked due to factors like number of reviews etc so they have to be taken in the order they're listed. just my opinion though

No. Uncharted is the 3rd best rated game of all time. Its tied for 3rd. There is no difference between super mario galaxy, at 97 than there is about uncharted 2, at 97. It just lists them in the order they got the score.

a game requires at least 4 to get a metacritic score, and even then, if any game gets 4 100s from any of the sites it accepts, every other site will have to review it as well, or at least most of them.
