Honestly, it probably won't ...

You usually see the top reviews first and as time goes on the scores generally get lower; this isn't to say that it will have a bad overall score, you'll just probably see quite a few 8's and some 7's.

More of the same with better graphics is fine by me. The other games were whoopass, and the over-the-shoulder camera view they added with all the new weapons is fine by me. Most of the fun from the other games was just plain using cool weapons on the enemies, I'd be pissed if they shifted focus off of that. Can't change a good thing too much, it won't be good anymore.

Can we wait until something that doesnt have PS in the title reviews it?

PSM magazine? so the ones who gave Warhawk a 6.5 (its lowest grade out of every reviewer on metacritic)? It's funny how some people were taking PSMs 6.5 review as the gospel for how good warhawk was. when they give a high review, you'll wait till IGN reviews it? i see how this works.

Gamespy called it familiar and not too different from the PS2 and, while I can't find the older review I read now, I did read a review that pointed out three ratchet and clank games were released in three years and the changes in this installment seemed fairly small. But it didn't talk about the different weapons, and "more of the same" isn't necessarily a bad thing if it's more of a really good thing (see: Halo 3).

Although WorthPlaying hopes they'll get the framerate issues solved for the final release.

Now it's your turn -- which "lots of sites" are you referring to that "have given it" a 9.5 or higher?

I don't say anything in these matters. I don't know how good PSM is at scores...but I tend not to trust early scores for any game.

If somebody gave Super Mario Galaxy a 9.8 next week, I probably wouldn't comment...I wait for at least a handful of reviews, especially IGN, GameSpot, 1up, etc. Even if I don't agree with all the major reviewers...they're generally consistent in their review styles, so it gives me an idea of how good a game is. I do like IGN the best for scores though.
