Forums - PC - The Sith Lords Restoration project beta is out now!

The problem is that there isn't, at least not at the levels you can reach without modding the game (level 30 or so). The best blaster rifle I can remember ever getting was a 3-14 base damage (19-20 Crit., fully upgradeable) blaster. There are some with higher base damage, but those aren't upgradable, and usually only critical at 20. By contrast, a certain Mandalorian blaster does 6-16, Crit 18-20, fully upgradable.

I've been using a pair of Mandalorian rippers on HK, but their base damage is only 2-12 (I think - may actually be 2-8) and their crit multiplier is only 2.

I will need to be getting better weapons in any case, but it is fun to do this planning.

That still gives you two attacks (and therefore two bites at the apple). I'd have preferred that rifles had more oomph to make up for that.

lol, I was talking about giving up on KOTOR2.

Then I said I was sad KOTOR3(the MMO) wouldn't be like KOTOR1, then I said they were milking the name and it wasn't a real sequel. And yes, I know they aren't calling it KOTOR3, but come on. A real sequel made by Bioware is what I'm saying.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... You don't have to mod the game to get better blaster weapons - the drops are just so random they might screw you over if you're doing anything outside of a pure Consular. For instance, here are some rifles I ended up with on my last playthru:

Verpine Droid Disintegrator
2d10 + 2, + 3d10 against droids, crits 20 x 3

Zersium Rifle
2d12 + 1, crits 19-20 x 2

Heavy Repeating Rifle
2d6 + 1d10, crits 19-20 x 2

And all of those are fully upgradeable except the droid gun (can't use power packs).

I just bought KotOR on Steam. It was a measly 9€, and I've spent 18 hours with it so far. It's very much like Mass Effect, and I love it. Since this thread is filled with people who have played this game I thought this would be a good opportunity ask a question that has been on my mind.

About how long does it take to beat KotOR?

Also, this mod sounds really interesting. Hopefully KotOR 2 will be released on Steam, and hopefully this mod will work on that version. Sounds like an awesome game.

Has anyone tried the difficulty or AI mods for KotoR II? They are seriously kicking my ass, I pretty much have to play it like a turn based RPG with frequent pauses mid fight or my team will die xD It's great fun though.

Anywhere between thirty and forty hours is pretty reasonable, though once you know your way through the game it could take considerably less?

I tried on once. I think my average death rate was about eight times per planet, as opposed to "just when soloing with Mira." It was nice to finally need the party as more than just meatshields, though.

Nice. I've played 24 hours now, so I guess i'm about halfway through? I'm taking my time, doing all the quests I can find. Even grinding a bit, where possible.
