I think Wii will be up~ 25% off of the price cut, not having shortages this year, and stronger holiday titles, so around 7.25 million.
I think PS3 will be up 50% off the continued momentum of the slim/price cut, and FFXIII in Japan to around 3.2 million.
I think the 360 will be down 10% this year, as the elite price cut wont help as much as last years cut and the stronger competition around 2.9 million.

Ps3 -6 million
Wii -4.0 million
360 -3.0 million

Assuming there's no supply constraints, of course.

360 will down due to the fact they took so many potential PS3 buyers last year after their price cut and Sony's PS3 crazy price.
The Wii is a funny one, I know it will sell well, but I just don't feel the demand being so insane like last year. So, because of the price, I predict about same sale as last year.

As for the PS3, thank God for Japan and Others because NA will go for the other consoles. Price point plus Final FANTASY, PS3 will be up greatly.

5.6 million Wii
3.0 million PS3
2.7 million 360.

It will happen. 5 mill tops. Wii is slumping, it's current sales are down 40% or so. Price cut will only increase that by 20% or so, so the net effect will be minus 20% YoY in Dec.

Wots PS2 has to do with anything btw? Its still out there for $99 but it doesnt compete with nobody.

Looking at those tables, I agree with you that the 360 will outsell the PS3 in NA in December. It will be close, though.

Others and Japan will be landslides in favour of the PS3

UK will be slightly higher for PS3.

HD Combined: 6,250,000

Wii: 5,420,000

Wii > PS3 > 360

HD > Wii.

My Wii numbers may be WAY off, I basically assumed that the price cut would bring it to last year's sales.

I was trying to point out that nowadays EU is as big as US in christmas console sales (except X360)

My predictions for dec 09:

X360: Japan: 60k, Others: 770k, UK: 310k, US: 1.55milj. = 2.69milj.

PS3: Japan: 550k (FFXIII), Others: 1.3milj., UK: 300k ,US: 1.1milj. = 3.25milj.

Wii: Japan: 550k, Others: 1.8milj., UK: 520k, US: 2.65milj. = 5.52milj.

I don't see why the 360 Arcade, or any current gen console, should grab those sales. The PS2 was $130 then, now it's $100. Anyone who wants a PS2 will still get a PS2.
