That's certainly what it seems like to me. He's a bit too ridiculous to reason with though, I haven't been using the forums much but I'm starting to think he's a joke account. This entire thread he's been acting completely out of his mind.

+1 This guy acts as if the data on VGChartz does not reflect data from NPD, Famistu, and media create (data is adjusted regularly so it also takes those sources into consideration).  He is hopeless (Avinash), just ignore his post and maybe he will go away.   I do think that he has the "correct" avatar (sheep).

No, I always accept VGC numbers, whether or not they are what I want to see Also I didn't aggressively tell him to leave the site, I said that if you don't like VGC numbers, there are plenty of other sites you can go to instead

VGC data may or may not take other trackers into consideration, but that's not the point, the point remains, that its ioi who will decide whether or not they need to be changed, so unless he does, trying to argue against the accuracy of VGC numbers based on other numbers is less than pointless, since he knows better than you, and has better data.

Of course you say that, since you haven't been able to actually address the points, your entire argument has ignored that all of the trackers are estimates, and that ioi will decide whether or not to change the figures based on any data he has, but unless he does, the numbers are what they are.

my entire argument has ignored that? I wasn't arguing that they weren't estimates, I've outright stated that much. You're just trying to pick a fight where there isn't one. I didn't say Media Create or any other video game tracker was 100 percent accurate, including VGchartz. What I did say is that sometimes ioi adjusts the data and if three of the 4 major trackers agree on something I tend to side with the majority and it's not biased to do so. So I've addressed the points, I've actually bought them up in when responding to your question of why would they be using any other site than VGchartz. In the end I wasn't asking you because you're not ioi, Zorro or anyone else involved in the bet. Just a really annoying cheerleader that seems to want to start trouble for no reason.

Well then even more unlikely that PS3 will ever get close considering the current sales rate of both consoles

So if the PS3 outsold the Wii with 5k this week it will only be like...what 1k weeks before it outsold it in japan only beacuse nowhere else is it outselling the wii...

Not exactly since holidays and new releases boost sales quite a bit. Not that it's ever going to happen. PS3 will reach the 5 million milestone first I think but it has very little to actually win the market. If it did, that would be the most impressive sales comeback I can recall.

All trackers adjust their numbers, you just don't see it most of the time with other trackers, because they don't have the transparency of VGC. Actually what you said was: I may have missed it but which source is going to be used for this bet? VGchartz numbers fall right in line with ioi's prediction for this week while the other trackers favor Zorro. Did you guys agree on which one will be used, as I've seen all 4 Japanese companies numbers posted here. If it's a close race it could make a difference. Why would you ask that knowing that you're on VGC? The very question is pointless, since you know its going to be VGC data used on VGC, annd since ioi has better data of the sales than you, and unless he decides to change, based on his data, the numbers are what they are. So yeah you haven't addressed the point, since your entire argument is that the other trackers don't agree, but the fact remains, ioi has better data so he can decide whether the other trackers disagreeing is relevant enough to get him to change, until he does, the data is up, so there is no reason to hold back updating, just because you think his data may be changed, if it is, then the table can be edited.
