I said that considering Game Freak is already done with the DS games, they could be working on a Wii game alongside HAL Labs or Genious Sonority, earlier this year. I hope this is true.

2010, since there won't be any other Pokemon games for the DS in a long time, or maybe ever again.

Unless its a full blown RPG side story with Cel Shaded graphics and gameplay like the handheld games or an MMO, I'm really not interested. All the Colosseum and games like Pokemon Battle Revolution have made me tired of these weak attempts on consoles. I don't need another '3D simulator' game that doesn't even play as well as the handheld games.

However, since the 'Pokemon Company' is suppose to be working on it and not a side company, perhaps there's some hope to this announcement.

Either a full fledged RPG or an MMO would work the best for Nintendo. A full fledged RPG would be what entices RPG fans, and it will defiantly increase hardware sales. Pokemon MMO could allow Nintendo to break into MMOs. Nintendo could create an expanded audience MMO by focusing on elements of WoW that deterred players (such as the time sink nature).

If it's neither of these two, then it's just a way to get more money from Pokemon fans.

I have never understood why Nintendo haven´t made a full blown rpg Pokemon for consoles like they have for portables. I know that they still wouldn´t sell as great as for portables (most likely anyway) but it would still be HUGE and definately help Nintendos consolesales. If they would do this they would win Japan hands down in my opinion (if they haven´t already).

I had two dreamprojects for Wii earlier this year and they were:
a 2d classic Mario, check!
a classic rpg Pokemon!
