I understand where your coming from. And it really is a prediction that could go either way for me. But the general horror reaction by alot on this site that they may not get GT5 till xmas next year ( US, EU ) has even made comments like I may have to get 360 and Forza 3 till then. I believe M$ advertising for Forza 3 now they know GT5 is not coming will be Halo 3 levels. With ads finishing showing 250 GBHDD FM3 bundle. I think it can really sell systems.

Yeah I think the PS3 could outsell the 360 in Europe and Japan. But I don't think it will be enough to reduce the gap to 5 mil. Depending on how much the 360 outsells the PS3 in NA it may only reduce the gap by 500,000 or even lose some more ground.

good thing SONY didn't release GT5 this holiday.
They would never be able to match their PS3 supply to the demand.

with the MW2 "situation" i think that the ps3 will be a lot better than with COD4 & will be close to the 360 sales in the time that MW2 comes out.

in the natal subject, i don't think it'll be a system seller, not that much as you think, if the system is not supported with good games since launch and with a good price, the sales will NOT be higher than now.

I think your saying that MW2 for the PS3 will sell equal to the 360 version? Have you seen the pre-order charts this site puts up ever week? I think it's 3:1 in favor of the 360, although it may be even more than that I have to check.

The PS3 will overtake the XBox 360 by July 1, 2010 in total console sales. PS3 will outsell the XBox 360 by around 4 million consoles for the year 2009 alone. PS3 Slim + $299 price + FFXIII in Japan. The gap between PS3 and 360 will be closer to 4 million by the end of 2009

Game over XBox 360. The PS3 will win. Next stop is chasing down the Wii. PS3 will eventually win the console generation wars. The PS3 will have reallly, really long sales legs.
