I remember playing it on my pc a while back, and it didn't make any special impression on me (same as the whole pc world). So while we continued to play Counter Strike, Quake and other multiplayer games, Halo rocked the world of consoles? |
Halo was created with analog controls in mind. Player movement has momentum and such which is rare(if at all) in PC fps games due to the digital nature of a keyboard(ie, moving forward, or not moving forward). Also, gameplay is affected heavily due to keyboard and mouse. PC FPS games need to have faster character movements in order to offset the extremely accurate and easy nature of shooting someone on a pc.
Halo is basically a completely different beast. Weapons, vehicles, melee, and grenades all done to arcadey perfection.
