lol i thought you meant worldwide first i was like WUT ! XD
anyhow, excellent sales. Far better than most people predicted.
staude
lol it says JAPAN in the title......its very goot though FAR FAR FAR better than people thought before The Source put his preview up
@Kowenicki
only ioi can tell us this when the VGC figures are up, I want to know too
otherwise next weeks "drop" may seem HUGE.....when actually it was because after price drop demand had dropped & this week sales stayed high because of TOV.......so the following the drop should be HUGE.
To avoid next weeks "PS3 dropped like a rock so is doomed in Japan" threads......we should as ioi what he thinks.
Great to see the PS3 still selling strong in the land of the rising sun
The main question is - what will the console settle at? I would imagine 25k+ p/w

I can imagine huge drop in Japan next week, since at TGS Sony + SE unveiled that special edition PS3 in white with FFXIII artwork... Everyone will wait for that, since it's "kawaii".
MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising
360 does terrible considering the price cut and TV ads.

TOV didn't help THAT much. This site is becoming king of overstatements=P
At least half of those sold for the simple fact that it's a new model PS3 - it's only the 3rd week out. The other half might have come from TOV.
