Its simple and a great feature. Was in a party with 3 friends. I was on mass effect they were on odst when i got to a story part i hushed them lol. If your in the same game you just use the normal game chat. But if your playin alone and arent in a serious competitive game then its great.
Use it or don't. At least its an option on 360.

Yeah, that's true, not many people talk tactics in the games I play unless it's a clan battle, and on MGO (which is my favorite online game this gen, despite crap Konami servers), people use the in-game text chat, so it's a welcome addition for me.

My speed is good enough to get 1 green bar on non-Middle East hosts (I do live in KSA after all, so I have a disadvantage). But survival...don't get me started.

The source for this information has a great track record of posting rumors that turn out to be false. I wouldn't hold your breath on this one. In an odd twist of events, I agree with both kyliedog and kowenicki. Cross game chat is great, but it does suck for the people not in the party. I used to use it all the time in L4D, but it sucked for my teammates.
