FINAL FANTASY II

Platform: Wii

Rating: Everyone

Content descriptors: Mild Fantasy Violence, Mild Suggestive Themes

Rating summary: This is a 2D role-playing game (RPG) in which players embark on an adventure involving magic crystals and a quest to save the world from destruction. Players move small character icons across a field map and enter turn-based battles with an assortment of imps, dragons, and robots. Weapons and special attacks (e.g., "magic," "jump," and "kick"), accessed via a menu-screen, cause enemies to blink and disappear when defeated. One female enemy is depicted wearing a bikini top that exposes a moderate amount of cleavage.

I thought Square Enix said they would only release I and IV outside Japan, guess they changed their mind.

This game should be at least E+10 for the mild alcohol use.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Awesome! Day 1

Isn't that supposed to be the odd one out of the early FF games? That's what i had heard, but i don't know how it could be more unbalanced than 3...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

New gamers =)

Final Fantasy II on the virtual console for the North American market is what is today known as FF4. The original FF2, FF3, and FF5 games weren't released here so Japan's FF4 became our Final Fantasy II and Japan's FF6 became our FInal Fantasy III. That is how they will appear on the Virtual console.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Source?

I don't believe Square Enix is going to stick with their old messed up numbering of the US final fantasies.

When they released FF4 on DS and GBA, it was called FF4. Not FF2.

I believe that this FF2 is the legit FF2.

It mentions kick and jump.

Sounds like IV to me, but I didn't get far in II.

This is FFIV.

@Tehsage

When you get to the title screen it will still say FF2, so calling it FFIV would only confuse people who buy it. Just like the US SNES release of FFVI will say FF3.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

WTF this is so confusing.

III being VI would be good for me but still messes everything up!

Which one is II in the US? Or was that never released in the US originally?

II wasn't released until FF Origins on the PSOne, and later Dawn of Souls on the GBA.
