holy shit
I'm just going to borrow my friends psp and one umd and get three free games when i buy my GO!.
That's fucking awesome.
Purchase on day one means a free GT PSP game as well.

Goddamn
I'll get wipeout, killzone, patapon and gran turismo along with a pspgo for 250...

ppl with PS3 can just cheat, or the PSP desktop thing

Take a good look at the list guys... every one of those games is published by Sony, and its a good chunk of Sony's 1st/2nd party lineup for the PSP.

The other publishers are obviously not interested in the same sort of goodwill program. I don't think its accurate to blame Sony. Its entirely possible that the various 3rd parties could implement some sort of "send your UMD disc to us, with a couple $$, and we will send you a download code" program -- but I doubt it'll be directly through Sony.

Also, to everyone who owns a library of psp games and is ACTUALLY thinking about upgrading.

The PSPGO! is a seperate system. You can continue to play your psp games on your normal psp. There WILL be a psp4000, so you don't have to get excited about something as trivial as this.
This is just a really good deal for either
a) a new customer
b) someone who is excited to carry a completely digital handheld.

c) I can only imagine how piratable this console is going to be, so if you really have a problem with it, just do that. Sony will be making plenty of margin on the pspgo, since they are overcharging by at least 50$

That's another very good point pro. Sony can only speak for themselves, they really can't ask other companies to do the same thing as they do. Who knows how it will pan out.

no this wont do... i was planning on getting the go if i could put all/most of my games on it

Nah, its the retailers getting the margin.  The big retailers (i.e. ones that don't sell used games, and are interested in just profiting from the device they're stocking, in some manner) probably demanded the high pricetag, for their own reasons.

You can see evidence of this in the news, practically every day -- any store that sells used titles is threatening to not carry the Go, and the major retailers?  They are fine with it -- because their business models just aren't as affected (plus the profit margin makes it attractive for them, like any small, expensive electronic device they sell).

The rest of prof's post I completely agree with...  this is a sweet deal for a new PSP Go owner.  Sony should be commended for it, not mistakenly blamed for not including the products of other companies in their giveaway.

Where is Chains of Olympus? Without that game the rest of the list is worthless. So much for me switching to a PSP Go, which I really wanted to do.

Well no PSP go for me... I am very dissapointed
