Nope, just giving my honest to goodness anecdotal evidence.  We all know PS3's sell a lot worse in the US than they do in other regions, so I'm just confirming that a bit.  Also my region of the US in particular always seems to be a heavily 360 favored zone.

I also would like to note that after reading the official statement it does not specify whether it is sold to retail or to consumer and even ioi is speculating based on the articles wording.  I do not doubt, however, sales in total since the Slim launched are at 1 million (including phats).

All they now need to do is to release a white PS3 slim and I'll happily swap my white phat PS3 for it.

I knew I should have, but even then it would have been viewed no differently than a simple statement.  Anecdotal evidence is simply that   It could have been just that day they got a full shipment of Slims and put them out.  Or it could be that that store hadn't received a new 360 shipment yet.  Too many unknown variables which is why I am heavily stressing all this as anecdotal.  But in the future if I ever have the chance I shall take pictures anyway.

Don't forget that these sale figures only contain Ps3 Slim sales. There were plenty of fat units left on the shelves which seem to be cleared out by now, so overall PS3 sales are probably quite a bit higher than 1 million (in 3 weeks)...

The graph is not PS3 Slim only sales.  It is total PS3 sales.  It is comparing to previous years and the trend starts at the beginning of the year and only spikes with the Slim so obviously the graph is all PS3 total sales.
