Continuing on the path of sweet information, the most recent issue of Famitsu confirms that Final Fantasy Versus XIII will receive a large media blowout come the beginning of next year. As most of you know, Final Fantasy XIII is scheduled for release in Japan this upcoming December 17, 2009. Thus, it only makes sense that Square is waiting for that installment of the Fabula Nova Crystallis to hit retail shelves before divulging more information on its parallel universe.

According to Nomura, he wants to go live with the details a lot sooner, but the team behind the project is holding back in order to increase the product quality of the title. This should be pleasing to PlayStation fans considering the exclusivity of the title and the fact we’d like it to be the best game possible.

There won’t be any information thrown out there in Tokyo this week in regards to the title, so it looks like the wait is just around the corner after CES 2010.

I just want to see the battle system for this game; should be interesting.

That makes sense. I know everyone wants more info on Versus now (myself included) but I doubt Square would want to steal any hype away from FFXIII until after its Japanese release at the earliest. They want everyone talking about the game releasing in a few months not one due in a year or two.
