I heard a while back that Wii Fit Plus would be a budget-priced title, an looking at Amazon.com it only costs about $20. Then I look at my local swedish retailer and it costs 549kr - The same price as any other new game! What the hell is this about?

That's mainly your retailer. It has little to do with Nintendo of Europe, really.

Many Scandinavian retailers tend to start everything out at 500kr (Which is around 50 pounds)

GAME, HMV, amazon.co.uk have it at about £18, Play.com have it at £30 but they say wii fit plus is out on November but it's out on October so obviously play.com haven't updated their data yet.
