Hmm, taking into account the start of sales of XBOX and PS3 it is difficult to say that the PS3 is clearly in 3rd place. It is more the opposite case http://vgchartz.com/hwlaunch.php

I never considered that a good way to look at it, because Microsoft isn't going to sit still for a year so that disadvantage will never be made up. It was the same last gen, Microsoft joined the scene far too late as the PS2 already was the marketleader having beaten the Dreamcast a long time before that. You could argue that if the Xbox had arrived early then it would have had more success and it wouldn't have been discontinued as soon either, etc etc etc.
But that did not happen, just like Sony waited for Blu-Ray and what not to be ready to be implanted in the PS3. That was their choice, but they figured it would pay out at the end. And perhaps they are right, this generation isn't over and they are catching up. But until they have sold more units then the 360 then they are still in third place because they were stretching some more after the race started.

Hey, it's a great title to describe the attitude of a hardcore fan for his favorite brand, to strongly identify himself with a company one loves deeply. It reflects that the fortune of the fan is dependant on the success of the brand.

I don't think it's strange for a fan to be invested in the success of a company. The success of a company does impact the fan in some way. I just felt like the title was, again, over the top O.o
There's absolutely nothing wrong with a fan of a company being personally invested and interested in the success of a company. Fuck, even if we say that the success of a company doesn't impact the consumer, we allow people to become fans of sports teams and personally invest themselves in their success.
If the Devils win the Stanley Cup, did I win anything? No. But would you consider it strange for me to be happy and interested? No.
So why not gaming?
