As of now MGS4 has sold 4.2 million copies, can FF13 surpass that

FF13 will beat out MGS4s Japan sales in a couple days, but will it sell less in US and Europe than MGS4?

FF sells weaker in Europe than US by quite a bit, so i expect it wont sell as high as MGS4 there.

What can FF13 reach in sales WW on PS3 and on Xbox 360 total?

Over in Japan, Under in America and Under in Others. I good give a good reason why it will be under in America and Others but I'll just let people guess.

I call that a good thing, and I pretty much buy every FF.

It is hard to guess since there are a lot of FF fans out there, myself included! I mean i bought the PS3 knowing that the continuation of the FF franchise would be on the console...

Final Fantasy X LTD figure is sitting at about 7.8 million so, assuming that most of the sales of XIII will come from the PS3 version (obviously) i would not doubt that it could be more than 4.5 million sold (taking into account that MGS4 is not just going to stop selling)

its been such a shift in attention this from from JP developers to Western developers and I really developers have taken crown..JP games have been less than stellar when it comes sales even games series that more last gen are selling waaaaaay less this gen

FF doesnt seem to be as popular now and i think the reason is the over abundance of FF games that come out.

Back when it was squaresoft you had FF7 you waited a couple years then FF8 and so forth.

After it became SquareEnix they did to many, all the ports, the spinoffs of FF7,10 and 12, the remakes its just to many that it isnt as exciting anticipating one anymore.

Even with FF13 theres FF vs 13 and FF Agito 13, and FF14 was already announced. They do way to many games now its ruining it.

Isn't it most wanted PS3 game right now in every region? But perhaps it's just among hardcore PS3 owners.

Uhm, in Japan surely near or over 2 millions...worldwide there are other 5-6 millions to divide with x360 which has a bigger userbase, but the FF fanbase is bigger on Sony's console...so i Would say 4.5-5 millions on PS3 and 2.5-3.5 on X360...in other words: PS3's FFXIII bigger than MGS4.
