Dual Shock 2 FTW! Current Generation I only like Xbox360 (Dpad sucks) and Wii(only with the numchuck), DS3 has slightly annoying R2 and L2 buttons and isn't that great for FPS games which I never cared about until this generation.

As far as traditional controllers go, my favorite is the 360's. That was actually the deciding factor when I was choosing between a new Slim or Elite, that and 360 at least is backwards compatible with xbox. IMO the PS3 controller and 360 controller each have their own faults though. Personally I do no like the analog sticks on the PS3. Theres just something about them...too loose or too much movement...something. On the 360, obviously the D-pad is not great. Also, love the triggers on the 360 compared to LR2 on PS3. So...perfect controller for me:

I would be fine with the original xbox button and ABXY. too bad i dont have like $1k to give to ben for a couple of these.

I've thought of how amazing the N64 and GCN would have been if it had the new Classic Controller Pro back in the day...it would have reigned. 

Also, a lot of people say the xbox was derived from the dreamcast, which might be true about the way it feels in your hand (ive never held DC), but if you look at the layout of the controller its closer to GCN:

everything is in the same zone.

Nah, the control stick was pretty bad. My thumb kept slipping.

Dualshock and the Gamecube controller are by far my favorite. The gamecube controller especially because the buttons are conveniently placed and games seem to work well with them. The dualshock maintains a good grip in my hand.

Maybe this is the real reason I prefer the 360 controller, its what I'm used to. I've never owned a playstation anything :/.
