It's a shame how they always have to fight over one game.

Both GoldenEye and Perfect Dark have held up very well. They are still two of my favorite FPSs.
@topic
We have known this for at least a year. The rights to this game are just too complicated.

Might as well be destined to go to XBLA, they allready took the two banjo games with them; even though Nitnendo still has rights to them (I dont want to get into that stupid argument anymore) If the Stampers didnt sell their majority shares to MS, then none of this crap would have ever happen imo.

Rare was talking about wanting to make a remake very similar to that. But like the problem with putting it on the Virtual Console, all the mess with the various rights of the game got in the way.
So old it's called olds instead of news.

Ugggghhhh... I had Goldeneye parties, Nothing was better at the time that getting a bunch of mates together with a case, an N64, 4 controlers and some pizza. We use to play Goldeneye and maybe some Smash Brothers, Bomberman 64 or Mario Kart 64 till the sun came up. It was great so I have a fair idea of how good Goldeneye was, I have gone back to the game in the last 12 months and it really hasnt aged well even in its muti-player.
That all said and done one thing Goldeneye always proved to me was that local muti-player beats online muti-player.
