There can be a longish hanging-around period to get admitted as a junior member, and there is a six-month period where any stepping out of line results in permanent ban. Even after that it is fairly strictly policed.

I have the same name here, and GAF, and GameFAQs and Kotaku - nothing to hide, nothing to be ashamed about. And there's no reason for anyone to collectively hate any of these sites - they have their own different things that they are good for.

What's the odds of a perfect anagram (just add his middle initial which happens to be M)? If it's not him, it's certainly someone who is somehow a fan or something (like an employee).  I find that the best part of ioi's post.

you can't post over at GAF until a moderator approves your account. So they'll do a google search on your e-mail and username to see if you are "disruptive". They only do this once every few months, so you won't have an account til a much later date.

EDIT: well, that is where I'm at in the process. I'm also not sure if once you can post if you have to be there for 6 months before you can create a thread. I'm not 100% sure on the rules.

And seriously, don't go there to disrupt things. GAF's a fine place, and it does not need deliberately disruptive posters, any more than we do here. Just making the point in case you weren't joking.
