I understand wanting to keep spammers away but they seriously have one of the dumbest ways of becoming a member I've ever seen.

Look, all I've been saying is that if ioi wanted - as he said - to correct misapprenhesions and maybe win a few people over, this was entirely the wrong way to approach it. If all he wanted to do was lob a grenade then he did the job, but it isn't very helpful.

That is just plain untrue. GAF is a good place, and the strict rules are extremely helpful in keeping the level of trolling down. It is certainly possible to have good robust discussions there without fear, so long as you think a bit before posting.

There is clearly some history between GAF and VGC, and quite frankly I am not interested in what it is and how it got that way. Generally I just avoid sales discussions anyway - not my bag. But that's no reason to troll GAF in here - or, indeed, the other way round.
