oh you go by thread number? I just go by time and popularity. With time posted given priority most times, and popularity of the thread being used as the tie breaker. Don't tell me you're going to unlock a thread that had zero posts and lock one that had a conversation going already.

I just figure thread number is the easiest way and when I checked this thread it was still unlocked.  We just both got to the jobs at the same time.  I locked leo's thread and then saw your post, checked back here and this one was locked and since most conversation was about who posted first I don't think it matters a lot.

I use to do by popularity but I got tired of people bitching at me for closing the wrong thread because theirs was first and blah blah blah.  Nothing against Leo, it's just much easier to go by number and it really doesn't matter which one stays open especially if we're only losing minutes of conversation.
