Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a U.S. citizen. Mexicans want to remain citizens of their home country while obtaining the benefits offered by the United States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home.

"the illegals"? This stupid language reminds me of the sadder aspects of living in the south. More often than I would like to admit hispanic people have their apartments vandalized under the assumption that they must be illegal immigrants. Arrows will be spray painted on the side of their apartment pointing to the door with "illegals" written underneath it, or "GO HOME" written on their windows or doors. I know a family of hispanics born and raised in Texas that have had their apartment vandalized more than onces because poor+hispanic=illegal immigrant or rather THE ILLEGALS. Just hearing them referred to that makes me sick because it shows a general lack of human compassion or empathy. Poor hispanic people aren't villains, not even those "evil" illegal ones.

Oh screw it, this isn't the intellectual side of politics that can be reasoned with. This is a guy who thinks "evolutionists" are desperate, and white people are being discriminated against. As long as they are working (and being ineligible for benefits they will be), they are contributing to the US economy as much as any 'legal' US citizen. Having them healthy enough to work benefits you directly, so paying in part for their treatment doesn't even have to be an act of charity.

At what point did I say what action should be taken? What is the "something" my sob story is supposed to be a reason for? Where did I say whether I support Obama's healthplan or not?
