Hard to believe that they're still commanding these sorts of prices. The stock situation in the UK is not good right now and with xmas just around the corner it's unlikely to get any better.

My experiance is that people are not normally retards when money is involved. If someone pays 2 times the amount for a console, that means he(she) needed it badly, not that he(she) is a retard. It should not be that hard to understand. And since someone has payed for the Wii, I guess that answers your question.

Uhh, no they're not.  Out of 23 stores in my area, only one has them and will probably sell out before I get to it.  I want to buy a few, put them on eBay (except for one) and have the money I make pay for the one I keep.

Well HMV, PC World and GAME all have them in stock where I live.

Bought a Wii 2 months back for the girlfriend and literally walked up, bought and out of the store. (Mine was from amazon aaaaages ago)

At a glance, PS3 auctions seem to be hovering around $300 - $350, while Wii auctions are hovering around $250 (not including bundle auctions, which are all over the place). The Wii is clearly much closer to retail price which probably says more about supply and demand for this system than what's happening at anybody's local stores.

I'm sure that Wii featured in this thread could have gone for more. 

Silly time to end it, on a Tuesday afternoon with everybody at school college and work.

Much better to end it in the evening, weekends or half term next week.

I live just outside London and have been trying to find some good deals that I can resell and everywhere i go Wii is out of stock.

Cez has one in stock that doesn't include  Wii sports for £250, they are buying Wiis for £190 cash or £200 trade in.

I have 1 Wii to sell myself I bought a few months ago for £140 when demand wasn't high, so I'll hang on a  bit longer to see if the prices keep increasing on ebay.

The same kind of person who wants a PS3 so much that they'd pay $600 for it? Notice that 2x Wii price is still cheaper than a PS3...
