Forums - Sales - First day sales in Japan(9/17 ToV fist day)

I hope Namco learns their lesson. Hell, I hope that all JRPG makers learn their lesson. It doesn't matter how much MS pays them, they are wasting their god damned time and effort putting JRPGs on the 360 at all, let alone as exclusives. The audience doesn't want to buy those games on 360. Even the U.S. audience isn't big on the idea, and they are far more accepting of the 360 (at best it should be multiplat).

Also, you people need to learn some of the basics of Japanese. The Ichi-Juu-Hyaku-Sen-Man system isn't that confusing, right?

You do not have the right to never be offended.

So the PS3 takes over the Wii for third-party sales in Japan, what now guys LOL.

As expected very nice sales for Tales of Vesperia, it will probably follow the same Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 trend.

- Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 --- First Day 135.000 --- First Week 210.000 --- Total 318.000

- Tales of Vesperia --- First Day 147.000 --- First Week 229.000 --- Total 346.000

[WII] Forever Blue 2: Umi no Yobigoe (Nintendo) - 12k
[WII] The House of the Dead: Overkill (Sega) - 3.6k

- Forever Blue --- First Week 17.567 --- LTD 47.227
- The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return --- First Week 14.455 --- LTD 42.909

Another easy win for the PS3. Crushing the 360 version one year later is quite an achievement (trophy I mean). Good news are now raining on the PS3.

It should help japanese devs understand nobody wants to play JRPGs on a 360. I mean if the 33:1 PS3/360 hardware sales ratio last week in Japan wasn't enough...

It should also make MS think twice before giving funds which are ultimately used by devs to improve PS3 versions. To be true, they actually stopped this funding long ago, probably because they came to the same conclusion : they were basically funding Sony.

Wii software numbers are pretty scary... with the increase of hardware, software number is going in reverse direction :O

[PS3] Tales of Vesperia (Bandai Namco Games) - 147k
[PS3] Tears to Tiara Gaiden: Avalon no Nazo (Aqua Plus) - 9.5k

[PS3] Makai Senki Disgaea 3 Append Disc: Raspberyl-hen Hajime Mashita (Nippon Ichi Software) - 2.4k

[NDS] SaGa 2: Hihou Densetsu - Goddess of Destiny (Square Enix) - 67k
[NDS] Idolmaster: Dearly Stars (Bandai Namco Games) - 20k

[PSP] Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Portable 4 (Konami) - 70k
[PSP] Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 4 (Konami) - 36k
[PSP] Ys Seven (Nihon Falcom) - 23k
[PSP] 428: Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de (Spike) - 9.4k

[WII] Forever Blue 2: Umi no Yobigoe (Nintendo) - 12k
[WII] The House of the Dead: Overkill (Sega) - 3.6k

Good debut for ToV, outselling thefirst week of the 360 version in one day. Completely the opposite of Eternal Sonata.
Tears To Tiara bombed, it predecessor did twice as good, while that was a port! ToV hurt its sales bad, some people might pick it up after ToV, but there are quite some RPG's coming out in the remaining months.

Idolmaster dissapoints me, it did relatively well on the 360 and PSP.

How are the Ys numbers compared to older titles in the franchise?

Lol these companies must have been paid to ignore the PS3 for this long, this gen must be one of the dumbest in the history of video games. Now all PS3/PlayStation fans need is Ace Combat, and Monster Hunter and things well look much better. A lot of devs made mistakes this gen, devs that have been making games for decades, so for them to become so retarded in this gen cleary proves that money hatting was part of the exclusive deals being made in Japan, EU and NA.

Best start for a Falcom game ever, beating Legend of Heroes 3.

Yeah, the first Tears did much better.
