PS3 > 360 this time around

Not a multiplatform release, it's a remake.

If it didn't look better, it would be laughed off the forums.

That said, if they didn't fix the camera, it's all moot. The 360 version was shite, and shite don't shine, no matter how much you rub it.

360 version wasn't shyte. It would not have gotten over 80 on metacritic if it was shyte... You either don't know how to play it and thought its too hard like 80% of the people that tried it or just didn't give it a fair shake.

I find it hillarious that the whole PS3 community is saying..."wow, i never liked Ninja Gaiden but this one is different..." now that its on PS3.

You better not be talking about me. I don't see anyone else in here saying that. Not even myself. I said i never liked Ninja Gaiden because i like having fun in a game not struggling at every turn. This demo was fun because it gave me everything, i will not buy this game though because i can't play like that. It's really funny saying the "whole PS3 community" when nobody has said it that i've seen.

Well look at howmuch attention is getting... there are 3 threads about it already. PS3 community is defiently excited about this game. And rightfully so.

Nevertheless, there are people that have played all Ninja Gaidens in succession and are old fans of the series. Im genuenly interested in this game...and just hope to god they didn't make it "easy" like you're saying they did. Thats the whole point of Ninja Gaiden...step up to the challenge or go play god of war...

Actually the Demo was easy because it gave you everything to begin with and powered up as well. It was actually still hard but i never played it that much and the only game i'm basing it off of is Ninja Gaiden Sigma the first one. That one was hard for me to control. I like hard games but sometimes they get too hard. But I guess i'm not the greatest person to say what it is and isn't. I mean I don't remember but didn't they say for the first Sigma they made the difficulty better for beginners. They haven't really said anything like that for this one. Though also when i played the Demo i played it on easy.

Textures and Lighting improved. But no surprises here.

4 ≈ One

Fair enough... I want to play this mroe than Uncharted 2 believe it or not.

Im guessing they will include beginner mode or something in this game. Sigma 1 on PS3 was slightly easier than NG Black on xbox but it was still challenging. The beauty of NG games is that they usually give you 1 difficulty which is very well balanced and challenging. If you die a few times, you get to choose the easy mode...but the game makes you feel like sit for doing this... Its pretty funny actually.

Ninja Gadien 2 had a begginer mode as well of the bat, but to eveyones surprise it was very challenging.

Why is everyone saying the PS3 version is brighter?  It looks darker to me.  If it's brighter all you do is change the brightness on your TV.  The PS3 version looks better to me.  More detailed and deep colored.  360 version looks washed out.

PS3

360

Thx for putting some screens on the thread

^
I don't doubt the PS3 version will look slightly better, but that is not what the 360 version looks like. At all...

This was one of the best looking and most colorful games a year and a half ago.

It looked scorching good on my 67 inch tv in 1080p.

I love the original sigma but held back on getting 2 for the 360 due to multiple site confirming that the camera was a pain in the ass, has this been fixed in the PS3 version? If not then I won't bother with this version either...

lol, camera is way better in NG2 than sigma. You actually have camera control in NG2.

Im sure Sigma 2 will improve camera on Part 2.

Is it? To note, I thought signma was great but the camera had issues with ninja attacks (oh the delicious pun) from offscreen it was tolerable but did detract slightly. With regards to NII, I was under the impression that despite the moveable camera, the situation with offscreen attack and akward angles were even worse? Anyways I might give NII a try if the camera is better than Sigma as I can tolerate that. The blood is attractive.

Camera works fine in part 2.

NG is all about knowing enemy timing and reacting qickly to the attack they throw at you. the trigger button targets an enemy, therefore while the camera may go loopy sometimes, you are still targeting the enemy that you want to target...as long as you know the timing of his attacks, you are fine even if the camera is staring at your right shoe :)

I'd try this over part 2 on the xbox360 though. Sigma 2 looks to be an improved version of part 2... It does cost 40 bucks more tho.

A) doesn't matter doing a comparison between the games on both systems, the 360 one is more than a year old;

^agreed, sigma is like a new game anyway with much more updates

B) people that wanted to play it already did on 360 (i know i did)

^i did also, and traded it in after 2nd stage. had game breaking flaws

C) PS3 version has obviously better graphics (more than 1 year later, if it didn't Tecmo would have been lazy), but 360 has blood and gore, and that's what you want in NG. NG without that is like Tecmo games with boobs aka fail.

WRONG, sigma 2 isnt a fail, it has updated grafix, better sound judging from demo, more bosses, more story, more playable chars and online co-op mission modes. tecmo said this is the difinitive version.

ps. it does have blood but not as much as 360 version.
