Actually it was ahead in October

Well those NA numbers are not good at all and in a few weeks 360 will be back on top. That said I expect PS3 to be ahead of 360 in EU and Japan for the remainder of the year. Now next week WHEN (hopefully) we get the GT5 release date, if it is for this year EU numbers are going to be big.

The week GT5 releases PS3 will be above 360 by a hefty margin; which is actually a given. FFXIII week should also be a huge week so PS3 is already guaranteed a couple of huge weeks this year. That said even though COD 4 has released I do expect 360 to have a big spike in sales the week the game releases as well as Halo ODST. Not as big as FFXIII and GT5 obviously as those are the first flagship titles on the console.

And it still cost more than $299 in both 2008 and 2007.

The ps3 was $399 *40GB* in october 07, then it held that price till August 09. 360 got to $199 last year in november I think

Watch when Christmas comes out, no way Microsoft will cut the price twice in 3 month's which means PS3 will outsell it this christmas, but I do predict Microsoft will drop the price by $70 again in April, then one more price cut christmas 2010.

now we will see more weeks where the PS3 is ahead in sales because of the great games lineup

If the PS2 is still on the market at that time and selling at its current price, how will it make the 360 look in terms of longevity?
