There is still some work to do but my current projection now put fiscal year PS3 number around 11.5 millions.

With this weeks number being added so far 2957k PS3 have been sold since the start of April.

I expect the PS3 to at least match the numbers the Xbox360 put last year following its price cut, at least until the end of the fiscal ( March 31st 2010). ( it is going to exceed those numbers tremendously in Japan, especially with FF XIII, giving it some room to fall short in NA).

Last year the Xbox360 sold 8439k units between September the 13 and March 2009.

Add that number to the 2.957k already sold and you get 11396k.

Still not the 13 millions units projected by Sony but it is getting closer....

who knows, GT5 and FFXIII could bring in 800k-1million in one week, plus we do not know if the motion controller will be a hit or a miss. But im guessing they will sell 11.5-12 also shy of 1 million in their projections

10 million is not the 13 million Sony predicted, they must have something up their sleeves to have made such a bold prediction

you did a mistake:

When Sony say 13 million they mean that they'l sell 13 million to retail. So you should probably bump up the sold to date by about 500K when talking about Sony's projections.

Ps3 doesn't need to "sell" 13 million

if it does SONY will have shipped 14 MILLION Ps3's or something

Well A) 10 is the average of what 360 and PS3 has been doing

B) they want 13 mill not 10

C) why are you using 360 sales as a scale?

D) Learn what the word guarenteed means.
