We already knew Kanye was a racist, and the only reason he went on stage was due to the fact he thought they were hating on black people.

I won't get into Kanye specifically since there is already a thread on that issue but I do find it interesting that some of the people who see racism in any libertarian or conservative objection to Obama cannot find racism in this.

@herumon

im on firefox right now it rocks

also to the guy in the post, i think its racist to think that way. kanye has been called out by everyone, even jay leno was hostile. its not race when your best buds girl is up for the same award and youre drunk off a 26er.

why would it occur to you to think that? Or rather wonder what would happen in the 'racist' version?

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Oh my goodness! Society might be racist based on CommunistHater's random hypothetical!

God help us.

Of course Kanye is racist. This is a well-known fact, which is why nobody bothers to talk about it. It's like how you don't see threads titled "Wii best selling home console for the week" most weeks of the year.

Kanye clearly has some race issues, "George Bush doesn't care about black people" anyone?

However given Kanye wests past record of being a jackass, its probable that he was still just being a jackass and the person he was a jackass to was entirely incidental.

With Obama however, given that elements of the far right have a strong record of racism it seems probable that some of the more extreme hate towards Obama is based on that.

Also note though that I don't really think the wankers who don't like Obama because he is black should take away from the entirely legitimate opinions of the many people who don't like Obama's policies. I just think people merely opposed to Obama's policies would be unlikely to make comparisons to the Nazi's or call for him to be overthrown.

It's got a name guys... called reverse racism. Happens all the time. Although most minorities groups that argue racism try to state reverse racism doesn't happen... it's quite clear it happens. But there also seems to be a general social stigma that only things done towards the minority can be consider racial. When the minority does it too the majority then it is just a normal act.

What is that called guys....? Good a logical contradiction. Something can't both be the case and not the case at the same time or in the same respect. Meaning those who throw the race card around majorities to minorities and not minorities to majorities (or the exact opposite) have no logical basis whatsoever and opinions are simply false. Either you acknowledge that racism goes both way or you just do away with the idea of racism. I think acknowledging that it exists furthers the issues... should be just how the media treated the recent Kanye West incident. It wasn't a black man suppressing the white woman... it was a egotistical jerk being disrespectful when a young woman was receiving an award.
